The 163 is fine with me!
I think I was guilty of saying “Why the heck would someone need a 163 track in Newfoundland!”
Well…for the 2017 season I decided to give the 163×3 Pro-RMK a chance…the 155 had been my weapon of choice for a number of years and I absolutely love the 155 footprint from Polaris. Up to that point, I had been enjoying both the 155 and 154 Summit from Skidoo.
Let me start with what the 163 is not…
It’s definitely not a trail sled…the bigger length will let you know it’s there. Tight turns en route to your fav powder caches will be challenging sometimes.
However, once this 163 is in its element…there’s nothing else like it, plain and simple.
The 163 with the 3″ lug was a traditional chain drive…the 155 Pro-RMK with the belt drive had slightly more snap compared to the bigger 163. However, that 163 couldn’t be stopped. Myself as an experienced backcountry rider, I couldn’t out ride the 163.
Lasting impression of the 163… I have the 163 x 2.6 Belt Drive for 2018. The 163 is okay for me.
