MOTORFIST Rekon Limited Edition Review
I’ve received a lot of questions over the past few seasons about how I find my Motorfist gear, which particular pieces are my favourite and which I recommend. My usual response to this – whatever particular garment you decide to go with – if it has the Motorfist logo you can be rest assured you’re getting a top quality, dependable, well built product. Although I haven’t yet tried the Blitzkrieg or Blitzkrieg Frost onesie I’m heavily leaning towards trying one of those next season.
I consider myself an avid outdoorsman spending a lot of my spare time in the bush & I can tell you first hand being uncomfortable, wet or cold (all of which I’ve been at one time or another) is a deal-breaker for spending any amount of time outside exposed to the elements. No one wants to get cold.
I’ve been lucky enough to test a number of suits made by Motorfist during the past several seasons. The Rekon, Trophy, Freeride & last years new Rekon Limited Edition suits to name a few. Each of these suits have passed the test when it comes to comfort, warmth, dependability and style but I have to admit the newest Rekon Ltd has been my favourite to date.
Having rode several times in British Columbia, if you ask me, you haven’t quite put your suit to the ultimate test until you’ve spent a full winter along Newfoundland’s West Coast – I’ll stand behind that. Frigid temps, extreme high winds, whiteouts to freezing rain and everything in between if your suit holds up here you can be rest assured you have well built outerwear and if you think the fur tree’s of BC are big & tough, well, try tangling with a 3” diameter Newfoundland tuckamore and see who comes out on top! I’ve yet to put a tear in my Motorfist Outerwear.
In short, Event Technology found in the Motorfist lineup is a game-changer! If you’re looking for well-built, dependable gear that will keep you separated from the elements the Rekon Ltd is my go-to. Why? Because when the cold northern winds blow Arctic air from Greenland to Newfoundland you really can’t afford to be wearing anything but the best!
